A well-set table can make even eggs and bread feel like a moment. Whether it’s a lazy Sunday breakfast, a midweek meal, or a full-on dinner party with extra chairs pulled in, it’s the details that set the tone. This is the first in a series we’re calling Set the Table with SOUK, a curation of pieces we love that make dining an experience, in the richest sense of that word (be it a special event or an everyday meal). For the Floral Edition, we leaned into soft colours, botanical prints, and a bit of that sun-dappled, vase-on-the-table energy.
HOME & LIVING 01 Valley Rose Linen Table CoverThis rose-pink linen table cloth is printed with hand-painted florals inspired by Himalayan plants—think wild ivy, tiny blue blooms, and soft pops of green. The fabric has a nice, easy drape, and the stitched border adds structure. We like how it instantly brightens up the table, whether you’re laying out a full meal or just catching up over tea. |

HOME & LIVING 02 VARGFISK Handmade Rattan PlacematWe like this one especially for its scalloped edge. The mat is handwoven, sturdy, and adds a dash of quirky charm to your table. The natural rattan brings in texture, while the neutral tone makes it easy to pair with everything from printed linens to plain dinnerware. It works beautifully as a placemat, but looks just as good under a vase or a morning coffee setup. |

HOME & LIVING 03 AVSAR Dinner Plate (Set of 2)This dinner plate keeps things minimal but interesting. The rim is lightly hammered for texture, and the centre features a single green sprig painted by hand. It’s subtle but distinctive, and works well with other neutrals or colour-heavy tablescapes. Looks especially nice layered over soft linens and matched with glass tumblers or ceramic bowls and appetizer/salad plates from the same series. |

HOME & LIVING 04 Pebbled, Footed Small Glass Compotes (Set of 4)We love a piece that multitasks and these glass compotes do just that. Use them for scoops of gelato, fruit, or puddings, or bring them out with a bottle of bubbly when you’re short on coupes. The hammered texture gives them a soft shimmer, the recycled glass adds character (and conscience). Plus they're hand-blown which makes each piece unique. |

HOME & LIVING 07 Large Green Glass VaseWe like this one precisely because it doesn’t exude main character energy…it just plays really well with the rest of your table. The tall, uneven shape adds height and presence—and looks handblown, but without the price tag. It will work just as well whether filled with sculptural stems or a single palm leaf. In sum, an elegant workhorse for your tablescape. |

HOME & LIVING 08 Amaranth (Green/Red)These amaranth stems have an almost sculptural quality to them—long, trailing, and a little dramatic in the best way. The green or burgundy hues could pair well with other blooms, but also look striking solo in a tall vase. We got ourselves a burgundy stem, and at first we were a bit disappointed when it seemed to have wilted by the end of day one. But thank goodness we didn't throw it out immediately, 'cos it somehow started looking better the next day, and was still going strong even five days later. |

HOME & LIVING 09 Taihi Champagne Gold Brass Cutlery (Set of 4)Cutlery is either over the top formal or so minimal as to be forgettable. This 4-piece champagne flatware set (Spoon + Fork + Knife + Dessert Spoon) hits exactly the right spot with its soft gold finish. It adds a bit of golden warmth to the table, but the clean lines keep it modern. The result is elegant enough for guests, but sturdy enough for daily use. Available as a 4-piece or full 24-piece set if you’re ready to upgrade the whole drawer. Hand-wash recommended to keep the shine. |
