The artwork on this Maachis matchbox is inspired by vintage matchboxes with 'Lucky Numbers' that were highly sought after.11:11 is serendipitous, and seen as a sign of something meant to be. Gift it to someone who believes, or better yet, get it for yourself and make a wish before you strike!
Made of ivory-finished wood, each matchbox comes with safety matches, a striking surface and dual magnetic closures on both sides. Founded by Sonal Nagwani and Kevin Thomas, Maachis is an art revival project that is reimagining matchboxes as a modern medium of storytelling. They celebrate the intersection of design and culture and aim to give new life to India's forgotten matchbox art in the form of bold, handcrafted pieces.
