Cold-extracted virgin coconut oil made from fresh coconuts (not dried copra), for everyday skin, hair, and kitchen use.
Not all coconut oil is created equal. Virgin coconut oil differs from the regular kind in that it’s extracted from fresh coconut milk, and not dried copra, without the involvement of any heat in the extraction process.
This one from Urban Platter is made from young Pollachi coconuts using processes such as fermentation, churning (centrifugal separation), refrigeration, and the action of enzymes to seperate the oil from the water or moisture in fresh coconut milk. As it is extracted from fresh coconut milk without high heat, higher levels of antioxidants, vitamins, and aroma is preserved when compared to cold-pressed coconut oil derived from dried copra.
